Correspondence, research notes, articles (some offprints and photostat copies), bibliographies, clippings, etc. relating to David Buffum, whose writings on horses included a hoax about a fictitious breed he called "Lliani". Includes Stecher's lecture before the Friends of the Library of Brown University, on 29 November 1966, with printed version published in Books at Brown (volume xxii, 1968). While Stecher gathered his material between 1964 and 1970, his collection includes articles, clippings, and other printed items by and relating to David Buffum, from the period 1857 to 1920.
